On February 20, 2025, author and physician Nermin Djelic will present Art and Pathos – Doctor Faustus in an Intercultural Context.

Nermin Djelic will share his perspectives on Thomas Mann’s masterpiece Doctor Faustus, offering an opportunity to rediscover the novel through an intercultural lens and explore how different cultural backgrounds shape the interpretation and understanding of literature.

Thomas Mann, one of the most significant writers of the 20th century, created Doctor Faustus as a literary masterpiece that raises profound philosophical and cultural questions. On the occasion of his 150th birthday, this event will not only honor Mann’s life and work but also foster discussions on the diverse interpretations and meanings of his literary legacy.
