An intimate theater production based on Thomas Mann's novel, performed in the historic lecture hall of the Goethe National Museum. The 75-minute play tells the story of Charlotte Kestner's return to Weimar in 1816. As the real-life inspiration for Goethe's "Werther" character, she finds herself besieged by curious admirers while wavering between her longing for a private reunion with the poet prince and the reality of a formal dinner.

LOTTE IN WEIMAR
Weimar, 1816: Charlotte Kestner - the real-life "Lotte" from Goethe's "Werther" - returns. What was planned as a simple family visit becomes the talk of the town. But how will the encounter with the poet prince unfold after 44 years?
