As part of the Summer Guest Program for Art & Culture, take a journey to the Schatzalp at 1,861 meters above sea level via the Schatzalp funicular railway. Following a brief introduction to the historic building, delve into the past on the Thomas Mann Trail and explore the creation of Mann's famous novel. The trail, featuring over ten literary stations, leads to the former Waldsanatorium—now the Waldhotel Davos—where Katia Mann stayed for six months in 1912. Enjoy coffee and cake while learning more about the Waldhotel's fascinating history and even visit an original sanatorium room.
